Shiatsu (Japanese for finger pressure) is an alternative medicine to prevent energy stagnation.

Hollystic Hideaway offers the Oashi-Masunaga method originated in ancient times. The digital pressure follows the same lines as acupuncture to release and dissolve knots and blocks in the body. Shiatsu is valid for anyone who wants to flow with life in the natural essence of his or her being.

Prepare to spring inside and outside. Your treatment will be 40% off until the end of March!

ARE WE EATING YIN OR YANG TODAY?

Standard

YinYangFoodsOur beloved Michio Kushi, a leader and a pioneer in the macrobiotic community, offers today’s inspiration. All these, and more precious information, can be found in his book “Macrobiotic Diet”, edited by Alex Jack.

DIETARY ORDER ACCORDING TO YIN AND YANG

Food is the mode of evolution, the way one species transforms into another. To eat is to take in the whole environment: sunlight, soil, water and air. The classification of foods into categories of yin and yang is essential for the development of a balanced diet. Different factors in the growth and structure of foods indicate whether the food is predominantly yin or yang.

Red Rock Tree Pose

Standard

Red Rock TreeFirst build your connection with Mother Earth.

Find your roots underneath one foot and try to consciously touch and feel the ground beneath you.

No matter what we do, we are always connected with Earth most of our lives, attracted by a powerful force that we forget to sense.

Now grow beautiful and powerful braches: bend one knee and place the other foot on the standing leg, opening your hips.

Extend your arms first horizontally, then all the way up above your head.

It’s time now to reach for the sky: stretch your arms and reach up extending your entire body.

Loosen your rib cage. Make space for your breath and your heart to beat free and happy.

Find your center, forget your thoughts, let them flow and go. Just witness the process…

Enjoy this peace, this is where we are meant to be.

Holly & Grand Canyon

Pure love explodes from the heart.

It is cosmic love from the heavens above.

It is sheer beauty without a veil.

It is truth, honesty and supreme justice.

How could any man think it is all his??

Love is for all who stand in its footsteps, visible and not.

How then could one individual even imagine to posses such grandeur??

Gray Whale Season

Standard

It’s Gray Whale Season here at Hollystic Hideaway. It’s such a beautiful inspiration to be so close to Ocean here in Laguna Niguel: the Catalina Gulf is one of the most rich habitat of the Pacific Coast. Thank you Dana Wharf  for showing the people the amazing beauty of our Ocean.

Traveling night and day, the gray whale averages approximately 75 mi per day, at an average speed of 3-5 miles per hour, to reach warm waters to mate and have babies. Their round trip from the Arctic sea to the warm Lagoons go Mexico of 10,000–15,000 mi is believed to be the longest annual migration of any mammal. By mid-December to early January, the majority are usually found between Monterey and San Diego, often visible from shore.
