It’s Gray Whale Season here at Hollystic Hideaway. It’s such a beautiful inspiration to be so close to Ocean here in Laguna Niguel: the Catalina Gulf is one of the most rich habitat of the Pacific Coast. Thank you Dana Wharf  for showing the people the amazing beauty of our Ocean.

Traveling night and day, the gray whale averages approximately 75 mi per day, at an average speed of 3-5 miles per hour, to reach warm waters to mate and have babies. Their round trip from the Arctic sea to the warm Lagoons go Mexico of 10,000–15,000 mi is believed to be the longest annual migration of any mammal. By mid-December to early January, the majority are usually found between Monterey and San Diego, often visible from shore.
